Daniel Baumba is an expert in accounting, taxes and finance.
He is certified Tax Consultant by Commissioner for Domestic Revenue “TRA”, and also has a Bachelor in Accountancy and Finance from Mzumbe University, and an Executive MBA Masters from ESAMI.
Daniel is a reliable, sensitive, hardworking and dynamic team player. Fast learner and committed humanist, he is particularly effective when working with others to define and pursue business development goals.
He is also an advisory board member for several companies, such as Investec Finance, Zaraninge Investment limited and Infratech limited.
Amne is an international lawyer with an extensive and solid expertise on investments and trade.
She graduated from the University College London (United Kingdom) and the University of Geneva (Switzerland), where she respectively obtained an LLM in international trade and finance law and a licence in law. She also holds a certificate in corporate finance and financial accounting from the Investment Banking Institute – New York (USA).
Amne aquired her experience as legal adviser in the most renowed companies and institutitions of Switzerland such as Pictet Asset Management and the WTO. In 2013, with her strong entrepreneurial spirit, she inaugurated her legal and investment advisory firm in Tanzania, the Shikana Group.
Expert in her field, Amne, provides legal advice on corporate, trade, investment, financial and business law in various sectors and also gives investment advisory services to clients based on market entry strategies, advocacy and stakeholder engagement on key policy issues, and risk assessment on investment in East Africa.
Amne also serves as a non-executive director to several companies where she brings her expertise on regulatory matter and audits, strategy and good governance.
Thanks to her high-level expertise and commitment, the Shikana Group is now recognised as a leading law firm in Tanzania and has won several awards for Best Foreign Investment Law Firm of the Year by respected institutions such as Global Legal Experts and Leading Lawyers.
Yusra Suedi is a Director at Shikana Group and in charge of research and development. Suedi is a specialist in public international law and human rights.
Suedi’s areas of expertise include the law of treaties (treaty drafting and interpretation), international law of the sea (including maritime delimitation), territorial disputes, international human rights, international criminal law, international humanitarian law, international environmental law and WTO law.
Dr. Suedi is earned her Ph.D. suma cum laude in public international law at the University of Geneva’s Law Faculty. Suedi speaks English, Kiswahili, French and Arabic.
Erick is a political risk analyst, high skill researcher and journalist investigator with a solid experience of more than 30 years in East African markets.
He holds a Master’s degree in International Peace and Security for om King’s College London, focusing on International Law, War, Political Violence, Counterterrorism and Human Rights.
Erick has worked for 17 years as one of the leading East African investigative journalists, doing stories spanning in 20 countries in East Africa, Europe and the US, covering issues including illicit trafficking of non-renewable resources; the rise of Islamic insurgencies in East Africa, Northern Mozambique and Burundi; Tanzania covert military operations in DRC, Burundi to transnational criminal networks. He was also part of more than 160 journalists fr om 50 countries who collaborated with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) in a cross-border investigation into the Swiss Leaks financial records in 2015 and Panama Papers in 2016.
As a political risk analyst, Erick has freelanced for the World Bank office in Tanzania, DFID and the Swiss Development Cooperation in Tanzania on the energy sector, political economy analysis and media landscape in
Erick has also worked as a researcher for the Crisis Group on terrorism, political violence, human rights and counterterrorism and as an advisor for the Critical Resources on natural resources investments and political risks.
Zukra Ally has B.Com – Accounting (Hons) degree. She is Certified Public Accountant (CPA T) and a registered Tax Consultant with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for over 20 years.
She is working with Relevance Consultancy Services Limited as a director since its inception 2020 (1.5 years). Previously worked as a director for Taashi Consulting Limited (4 years) and Tax Director in the Tax team of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Tanzania.
Zukra has over twenty five years of experience in tax compliance and advisory services in varied clients’ base from public and private sectors. She has offered advice in regards to a wide range of taxation issues including corporate tax, withholding taxes, Pay As You Earn (PAYE), Skills and Development Levy, social security matters, Excise Duty, Value Added Tax (VAT), Stamp Duty and interpretation of various tax legislations and regulations.
Zukra has vast experience in tax health checks, due diligence, dispute resolution and tax compliance issues. She has also offered advice on tax implications on various transactions undertaken by her clients and conducted tailor made tax trainings in various organisations.
Zukra is a practical and highly experienced member of the team.
