Shikana Group has accompanied Sports Pesa since its incorporation in Tanzania. We represented this leading gaming company in Africa, in crucial long-term sponsorship deals with major African national football and league teams. Thanks to our understanding of their business, we have successfully drafted and negotiated key commercial terms for our client.

We successfully represented Capital Drilling, a major player in the mining industry during a class action brought against them by 180 employees claiming USD 5 million in arrears of payments in overtime. Shikana Group won the case at the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration.

Shikana Group supported the business set up of Johari Rotana, a luxurious 5 stars hotel in Dar es Salaam. Our team has successfully and in a timely manner, applied and managed obtaining more than 40 licenses related to our client business, from the district councils, the water authority, government ministries, to the national environmental management council.

We analyzed the laws in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda related to free movement of capital and services and produced a benchmark report on the compliance findings in each country.
